BIG LAKE VIEWS ...
The Chapman residence is located in the private residential
community of Indigo Run. This upscale community is
conveniently located to shopping and enjoys all of
the world famous amenities that have made Hilton Head
Island famous. Indigo Run is the home of 2 championship
golf courses and nearby Sunningdale Park that offers
tennis and swimming recreation.
These original owners chose long-time island builder,
Ron Neureuther, to execute their custom plan. A large
corner lot with an exceedingly long lake view was
chosen as the perfect location, and the 2550+ sq.
ft. house was constructed in 1999.
The home sits strikingly on this large lot with a
long concrete driveway and lots of specimen landscaping.
There is generous off-street parking and easy access
to the large 2-car garage.
There is a high portico entrance with a beveled and
leaded glass entry door flanked on either side by
sidelights and topped with transom window. The spacious
entry is ideal for plants or statuary.
Step inside to the foyer and light hardwood flooring
runs throughout the foyer and connects the common
living elements of the home. The foyer opens to a
formal living room with a wall of glass and transom
windows on the view. Note the accent columns, the
heavy crown moulding, high smooth finish sheetrock
ceilings, and wonderful windows that wash the room
in natural light.
Off the foyer is a formal dining room with accent
columns and a generous amount of wall space for furniture
placement. There is more crown moulding, high ceilings,
chair rail and sizeable enough to accommodate a large
dining room table.
At the end of the foyer hallway is a guest half-bath/powder
room with pedestal sink and unique octagonal window.
The home is designed around the ever-popular kitchen/Carolina
room. There is a full complement of white laminate
cabinetry, all topped in a bullnose Corian. There
is a full complement of appliances including Whirlpool
double door refrigerator with thru-the-door water
and ice, Whirlpool stove with solid Seran surface
top, and Whirlpool microwave and dishwasher. The double
bowl Kohler ceramic sink is set in the cabinetry,
and there is drawer storage as well as a lazy susan.
The kitchen opens to a bright breakfast area and the
ever popular Carolina room that centers on a wood
burning fireplace flanked by well-designed niches,
ideal for a variety of decorating schemes. There is
room for a large screened television. The room has
a high tray ceiling and a bay window that overlooks
the long lake view.
Doors from the breakfast room and the Carolina room
lead to an outdoor patio with a trellis and overhead
fan. This is an ideal location to enjoy cool evenings
and lake view.
The home is designed around a split bedroom plan.
The master bedroom at the left end of the house is
generous in size with a tray ceiling, crown moulding,
and can accommodate large pieces of furniture. The
master bath is upscale with his and her vanity, cultured
marble walk-in shower, deep soaking tub, private European
style water closet and a huge walk-in closet with
double rod and shelving.
At the opposite end of the foyer are 2 nice sized
bedrooms, sharing a Jack and Jill style bath with
separate vanity area and a tub and water closet set
under a vaulted ceiling with a large skylight.
There is easy access to a bright utility room and
the large 2-car garage beyond.
Notable features of this house include hardcoat stucco,
recently replaced Carrier HVAC system, high smooth
sheetrock finish ceilings, wood floors, overhead paddle
fans, heavy crown mouldings, transom windows, and
fabulous lake view.
