LAGOON
VIEW ... Nestled in the heart
of the private residential community of Hilton Head
Plantation, The Headlands Subdivision is laced with
a series of sparkling freshwater lagoons along with
the Rees Jones designed private 225-member Bear Creek
Golf Club. The high elevation land is heavily forested
in mature pines, and the pride of ownership is apparent
from all of the neighbors landscaping plans.
This residence sits at the end of a private cul-de-sac
with a generous setback from the street. To the rear
is a sparkling freshwater lagoon and all of the grounds
have been carefully manicured with sodded areas, mature
plantings and all nurtured by an automatic sprinkler
system.
At the entrance, there is generous off-street parking
and easy access to the large 2-car garage. An aggregate
walk leads to a covered entry and an 8-panel naturally
stained entry door.
Step inside to a wood floored foyer and the great
room opens before you with a vaulted ceiling, wood
burning fireplace with a raised hearth, and a wall
of base cabinetry and bookcases. There is an overhead
paddle fan and lots of built-in and indirect lighting.
Opening off the foyer and great room is a formal dining
room with chair rail wainscoting, faux painting and
wood floors.
A large cased opening from the foyer opens to a breakfast
room/eat-in kitchen. There is a full complement of
Ultracraft white laminate cabinetry with 2 appliance
garages and white faced appliances, including a Whirlpool
stove with solid surface, built-in microwave, Frigidaire
dishwasher and a double door GE refrigerator with
thru-the-door water and ice. An overhead skylight
washes the kitchen in natural light, and there is
a built-in appliance garage and reverse osmosis water
purifier. Sliders from the kitchen open to a tiled
enclosed porch with all-weather enclosures. A hallway
off the kitchen gives access to a half-bath powder
room with pocket door and easy access to the utility
room and large garage with built-in workbenches and
lots of garage shelving.
The bedroom configuration is ideal. The 3rd bedroom
opens with double doors off the foyer and is ideal
for an office/study/3rd bedroom. Across the hall is
a 2nd bedroom guest suite with a large reach-in closet
and en suite access to a full tiled bath. Another
skylight washes this bathroom in natural light.
Across the hall, the master suite is generous in size,
and double doors lead to an outdoor aggregate patio.
A long gallery hallway with a window seat leads past
the huge walk-in double closet to give access to a
sunny master bath. There are his and her vanities,
deep cultured marble whirlpool tub, stall shower and
a greenhouse window with a privacy garden that brings
in natural light.
To the rear of the house with access from the master
bedroom, great room and kitchen is a large aggregate
patio overlooking the neatly manicured grounds and
the sparkling lagoon view.
Notable features of this fine home include Andersen
clad windows, triple skylights, new CPVC plumbing,
enclosed porch, and large 2-car garage.
