On a personal note, Dick was born in Atlanta where he worked for a large insurance brokerage firm until his move to Hilton Head in 1976. He has been married to Pati for 39 years (she must be a Saint to put up
with a Realtor’s life for that long), and they have 2 daughters who grew up on the Island ... a married daughter, Christie, who is a physical therapist in Charleston, and Valerie, a recent graduate at Wake Forest
in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has just completed her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis.



The Patrick household rounds out with Dick’s third child ... Sea Biscuit ... a fuzzy Coton de Tulear who is even friendlier than Dick. Sea Biscuit rules the roost and is treated like royalty. Many who know Dick say they would love to come back in another life as his dog. Dick and his family are avid sailors and enjoy traveling, hiking, and skiing. Being spherically challenged since birth, Dick has mastered the art of talking about sports that involve a ball but wisely avoids participating.

Professionally, Dick has a business degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta. Locally, he has been active on a number of local boards including Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head Plantation Property Owners’ Association, and the Hilton Head Island Association of Realtors. Presently, he is serving on the local Habitat for Humanity Board, the Board of Governors of the South Carolina Yacht Club and the Board of the Hilton Head Island MLS.

Dick has specialized in selling properties in the Hilton Head area for over 25 years and regularly ranks as one of the Top 10 Realtors on the island in sales volume.
